Victorian Trees on Farms Grants
The Victorian Trees on Farms (VToF) program provides grants of $2,000 (excl GST) per hectare for environmental plantings. As a registered Professional Service Provider, TreeProject is here to support Landholders through the environmental plantings process.
Round 1 of the Victorian Trees on Farms Program is open until 30 June 2026.
The Value of Trees on Farms
Planting trees on farms improves:

Funding Snapshot
- $2,000 (excl GST) per hectare for environmental plantings (up to $40,000 available)
- Minimum 5 hectares (around 2,000 seedlings at 400 stems/ha)
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Victoria Trees on Farms program, you must:
- Own or manage rural land in Victoria
- Have an ABN/ACN and hold public liability insurance of at least $10 million
- Plant between 5-20 hectares
- Be in an area with greater than 500 mm annual rainfall (e.g. most of Victoria bar the Mallee and Wimmera)
- Not already be receiving Victorian Government tree planting funding
TreeProject as Your Professional Service Provider (PSP)
TreeProject can act as your Professional Service Provider (PSP) under the program. We’ll:
- Help design and prepare your grant application and project plan
- Provide advice on species selection and site layout
- Support your grant application until it is approve
Important Considerations
- The Professional Service Provider cost is covered by an additional grant and is paid out in addition to the per hectare grant
- Grant approval takes up to 3 months
- Funding is paid 4 months after planting, once the Planting Report is submitted
- You must be prepared to cover the Professional Service Provider costs before funding is guaranteed
How TreeProject Supports You
With over 35 years of experience in community-based revegetation, TreeProject makes planting affordable and achievable:
- Indigenous seedlings suitable for your area that are grown by volunteer growers – $290 per 500 seedlings
- In some circumstances, volunteer planters may be sourced to help get trees in the ground
- Access to resources of species selection, ground preparation, fencing, weed control, planting and maintenance
- Grant application support as a recognised Professional Service Provider
Minimum Planting Requirements
- 5 hectares minimum
- 400 stems per hectare → at least 2,000 seedlings
- The Professional Service Provider grant is $2000 for a 5 hectare project and up to $5000 as maximum payment.

- Applications close 30 June 2026
- With 3 months for approval, this fits perfectly with TreeProject’s 30 September 2026 seedling order deadline.
