Tree Planting Day Near Melbourne

Join a tree planting day

Team building with real impact

Join us in the fresh country air for a day of tree planting during autumn and winter, at locations usually no more than an hour/hour and a half from Melbourne.  Tree planting days are designed to bring your team together in nature, with tools, training, and guidance provided by TreeProject staff and volunteers. Your efforts directly contribute to restoring native landscapes, improving biodiversity, and offsetting carbon.

Perfect for:

  • Environmental, social governance and corporate social responsibility goals
  • Staff wellbeing and connection
  • Local environmental action with visible outcomes

Grow Seedlings at Home (or Work!)

Engage your staff through meaningful individual action

Staff can volunteer to grow native seedlings at home (or at work if your workplace has space and sunlight) over several months. We train all our new volunteer growers, supply everything needed in the growing kit, and offer instructions and support. What is needed? An outdoor area with access to sunlight and a commitment to care for the seedlings throughout the growing season. Once mature, seedlings are planted by landholders in priority revegetation sites to create shelter belts, restore land, and support biodiversity by forming wildlife corridors, stabilising soil, protecting waterways, and rebuilding vital habitats.

Why it works:

  • Great for individuals, families, and teams who want to make a difference
  • Meaningful and tangible commitment that connects individuals to real environmental impact
  • Purpose-driven volunteering that fits around people’s lives
