Lovely words from one of our Landholders…

“Myself and my family have purchased some old farming land in the Yarra Ranges.

When we purchased the land we made a commitment to carry out revegetation works and restore much of the land to its former state given its close proximity to National Park and some significant and incredible remnant vegetation that flanks our property. It was at this point that we became aware of the Yarra Ranges Ribbons of Green Program which we soon became involved in. It was via this pathway that we then were introduced to TreeProject being the incredible organisation that makes these projects possible. From our initial communication right through to the actual planting days and even post planting follow up our experience has been amazing. I would encourage any landowner considering carrying out revegetation works to utilise this program and cannot speak highly enough of the people and the organisation that they operate. It is very rare that you find people with knowledge, passion and capability carrying out such selfless work and the way they bring people and the environment together is certainly unique.

Through this experience, we have engaged with the growers, co-ordinators and the vast volunteers that make this program work and there is honestly nothing we would change. We look forward to continuing our partnership into the future and would encourage anyone else to do the same. Admittedly we have been involved in other programs and I must say the way TreeProject operate is second to none as from our experience the other programs just don’t offer the same support and resources as TreeProject do.

I would welcome any questions from anyone wanting to know more about TreeProject or the people we have met via our experience and congratulate them on their success to date and can only hope they continue from strength to strength.”
